Website Features and Customizations
SaberLogic developed this website using the Joomla content management system and VirtueMart as the e-commerce engine. The site also includes the following custom features programmed by SaberLogic:
- Donations are processed with live credit card processing through Charge Anywhere.
- New couples who register submit their bank account and routing numbers which are is validated through ACH.
- Couples can design their dream home by selecting a setting, a house style, and a color. The website stores their preferences and displays their custom home for the donors.
- When donors view the couple's house, they can see which items have already been purchased and which parts of the house are still available. Items that are purchased show up as solid colors while the available items are transparent.
- Donors can send donation e-cards to the couple with a custom note and a picture of the item they purchased for them. Recipients can send thank you e-cards back to the donors with a picture of their dream home and a thank you note.
- The site includes a dashboard for each couple which allows them to watch their cumulative donations as they reach their goal. They can also review all previous donations to their account.
- SaberLogic developed a custom Flash movie on the home page to depict how the process works.
- SaberLogic developed several custom Crystal Reports that help the website owners track donations, sales, profits, vendor fees, customer purchasing trends, etc.
